About Kevin

Kevin Sabin is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Environmentalist and European Engineer with 50 years of experience in the mining industry. He is the Managing Director of Brownlee Cale Mining, where he leads projects worldwide, combining deep technical expertise with a focus on developing competence and sustainable performance.

Kevin’s career spans operational leadership in UK coal mines, senior consultancy roles, and executive directorships. He has delivered major change programmes, overseen international business development, and led the introduction of innovative technologies and management systems to improve safety, productivity and compliance.

A past President of the Midlands Institute of Mining Engineers and Immediate Past President of ABMEC, Kevin is widely recognised for his contribution to industry leadership, competence development and mentoring the next generation of engineers.

• Executive Leadership: Managing Director of Brownlee Cale Mining; previously senior leadership roles with UK Coal, Hargreaves Services, Cen-Technology UK Ltd, and BBB UK Ltd.

• International Experience: Established legal entity in India (2014) with £2m+ first-year sales; delivered contracts in Turkey, Iran, Norway, Poland, China, Colombia, Mongolia, and the Czech Republic.
